MIXED SUMMER

Ah…….. back after a small break. Plenty of things happened during this short break.
I feel like writing a few things here today just to get back in to flow with this blog stuff.
Sadly, my grand mother (Dad’s mother) expired this April in Udupi on a Sunday morning. We got a call from my uncle informing about this when I was having a shower. Dad was off to the hospital in a flash. I and mom got ready and decided to go by VOLVO considering the soaring temperature. Ah man The trip was cool, comfort wise. The bus was a clean one, well maintained and had a quality crowd…. Surely had a comfortable journey.
Through out the journey, I was feeling sad about the loss of my grand mother. Being the eldest grandson I was her favorite and I loved her so much too. While in bus, I was trying to hold myself up. Sadly, the music was killing me…. The 1st song that played was “ALL IS WELL”….ah.. I was totally pissed off. Then comes Dard-E-Disco and all the peppy numbers followed. This is what I call torture………………….. Could not ignore the music nor could forget the death of my grand mom. Felt helpless.
The most sickest part was at the funeral. We were just waiting for some VIPs to pay their last homage so that we could proceed with the last rituals. This wait was the most frustrating one. I was sitting alone in the verandah and thinking about how my grand mother would pamper me when I was a kid and all that………
One of my relatives came and sat next to me. He irritated me with his list of questions. I remembered Paresh Rawal from the movie “Judai”. Believe me I would have preferred death than to be with such sick and irritating characters.
Relative: “where are u working now?”
Me: (In my mind) “Leave me alone u idiot”
Relative: “ How much are u earning?”
Me: (In my mind) “ Get lost u idiot”
Relative: “Do u know my son is doing well in his profession?”
Me: (In my mind) “I don’t care. U leave me alone and get lost”
It went on and on and I just went off from there totally ignoring him. I don’t mind if he felt bad. I needed my space that time and just silently walking off from that scene was the most descent thing I could think of at that very moment.

The next Big thing that kept me going this summer was the IPL controversy. This full controversy kept me glued to TV. Just kept wondering how the BCCI used their “Use & Throw” policy to the fullest. After all their work been done they kicked out Lalit Modi without any hesitation. Yo man yo!!!.
My professional life too was very hectic. Had to work overtime to get some things done quickly and efficiently and thank god the results are just awesome… God has been kind again.

This summer was very fruitful for me from my creative front as well. More about this stuff in my next blog. Yo man yo!!!.
